The Challenge
This premium appliance brand was primarily restricted to the Kitchen but wanted to expand their culinary expertise to other areas of the home – namely the outdoors – to fully meet the needs of their targeted segment. However, the brand did not want to just focus on one or two products but was interested in ‘exploring the possibilities.
The Approach
We engaged in a full innovation process, including defining the space – Outdoor Entertaining that stretched the domains beyond a gas grill and outdoor refrigerator. Using innovative ideation tools, generated 100’s of ideas, 12 core concepts via 3 clear migration paths to delivering the ultimate vision.
The Results
Within two years, the brand launched a full line of outdoor appliances, along with entertainment and party planning videos and accessories – delivering a holistic entertainment experience.
